A CHARTER ORDINANCE REINSTATING THE CITY OF GODDARD, KANSAS TO THE PROVISIONS OF K.S.A. 12-1222 RELATING TO THE REQUIREMENT THAT MEMBERS OF THE MUNICIPAL LIBRARY BOARD BE RESIDENTS OF THE MUNICIPALITY AND PROVIDING FOR TERM PROVISIONS.

SECTION 1. The portion of K.S.A. 12-1222 requiring members of a municipal library board to be residents of the municipality shall apply to the City of Goddard.

SECTION 2. Membership of the Library Board for the City of Goddard, Kansas shall be made up of 7 members in line with K.S.A. 12-1222.

SECTION 3. Members shall serve terms that start July 1 and end on June 31. The length of the terms shall be four (4) years, but if someone is filling a position as a replacement their full term shall not start until the current term ends, in which case they are allowed to serve two full four year terms.

SECTION 5. All prior provisions of [charter] ordinance No. 14 are hereby repealed.
